Medicine Hat Youth Hub

Providing community-based services for youth experiencing  homelessness.

The Youth Hub, located in Medicine Hat, provides community-based services for youth aged 12 to 24 who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Youth and their families can receive services for family reunification, permanent housing, mental wellness supports, financial aid, employment, schooling, or any other community support required.

A Proactive Outreach Program

Ages 12 to 24

The program is open to people aged 12 to 24 in Medicine Hat and area.

No Fees

The program is funded by the Medicine Hat Community Housing Society. There are no costs for participants.

Essential Support

We help participants connect with permanent housing, mental wellness, financial support, and more.

Open Referral

Referrals to the program can be made by anyone, including self-referral.

What to Expect

The Youth Hub supports youth who are at risk of becoming homeless as well as those who are currently homeless or staying within the shelter system. The program focuses on reuniting families and developing natural supports.  Program activities include systems navigation, conflict resolution, family reunification, housing and/or rehousing, life skills-building and more. 

How to Access the Program

Referrals are accepted from any community member, including self-referral. 

The Youth Hub is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 am-4:30 pm with the expectation for flexibility as the program and service participants require.

 

Exit from the program is based on the achievement of goals. Participation is voluntary and someone can stop accessing services at anytime.
