What to Expect

A Family Coach typically meets regularly with families to provide skill building support and enhance relationships.

The coach will review parenting strategies, provide information that can be helpful related to diagnosis and/or behaviours and guide participants to community resources or community programs that can be of value. In addition, a Family Coach will support and advocate for the participant(s) during personal appointments or with community partners when required to do so.

How to Access the Program

Mental Health Family Support is a closed-referral program. The program is accessed through AHS Mental Health Therapists.

Exit from the program is based on the achievement of goals or if the family no longer wishes to participate, or the participants are discharged by their Mental Health Therapist.

McMan's core values of commitment, trust, respect, empathy, and genuineness are ingrained in each portion of service delivery.
