An Accessible Community-Based Program

Ages 6 to 17

The program is open to youth aged 6 to 17, typically attending schools in the Cypress County Municipality. 

No Fees

The program is funded by the Municipality of Cypress County. There are no costs for participants.

Meaningful Support

McMan works closely with youth to ensure they find suitable transitions after leaving the program. 

Referral Required

Referrals are accepted from Family School Liaison Workers through Cypress County school boards.

How to Access the Program

Referrals are accepted from Family School Liaison Workers through Cypress County school boards. 

 

Exit from the program is based on the achievement of goals and collaboration with the Family School Liaison Worker and Youth Worker.

Youth Work

Encouraging youth to develop skills that improve well-being.

In Cypress County Youth Work, youth create goals with the help of their family or supports and Family School Liaison Worker. They are then offered weekly skill building sessions by a Youth Worker to reach their goals. 

What to Expect

The program focuses on building trust, self-esteem, and appropriate relationship skills. It creates opportunities for improved personal management skills such as coping, anger management, impulse control, positive peer and family relationship skills, decision-making and problem-solving skills, dealing with rejection, and personal hygiene.
